Term 4 2017 Newsletter

Ni hao Parents!

Welcome to term 4 of 2017! Yikes! I can’t believe how time has yet again flown by… it feels like only yesterday when we were sending out our term 1 newsletter!

It’s been a busy few months at Mandarin Stars … we’ve had new franchisee and wonderful Mandarin lao shi – Rachael Goh from Perth start up classes with tremendous success, while new franchisee and teacher for Melbourne Chadstone- Nita lao shi, is about to excitedly start her first classes this term.

Busy shǒu gōng time at Mandarin Stars

It’s been so wonderful to see our Mandarin Stars program being taught, shared and developed Australia wide and reinforces our commitment to make sure that we- as a dedicated and passionate team of Mandarin educators, deliver a first class immersion based Mandarin language program for our young students.

Boo! Zhè shì shénme? Zhè shì qīngwā!

NEW CLASS UPDATES!
We are delighted to announce that we are now offering our fun and immersion based Mandarin classes at Chadstone in Melbourne! We would also love to welcome the lovely Nita Darmawan to our Mandarin Stars family of Franchisees!

Nita has 2 children (Josh and Jaslyn) with hubby Daniel. Nita completed her training with Mandarin Stars last term and has also been continuing her ongoing practicums under the guidance of Pearl lao shi! It has been a pleasure training Nita and we are so looking forward to seeing her classes commence this term!

A big XIE XIE to Pearl for taking Nita under her wing and for training her so well in the school holidays! We can see that you will also make an awesome Melbourne team! So please join us in making Nita, husband Daniel, Jaslyn and Josh feel welcome!

YCT LEVELS 2 RESULTS
Congratulations to our 10 Mandarin Stars students who took the YCT Level 2 in September this year and received their fantastic results!  These students received their examinations results this week from The Hanban in China and we are proud to announce that they ALL received a High Distinction.

On behalf of the teaching team and all our franchisees, we are so proud of all of our students’ achievements. While taking a test does not in anyway define any of our students’ capabilities, it is a memorable way to gain a record of achievement in learning Mandarin and a celebration of one’s success at mastering Mandarin as a second language.

We congratulate all of our students and wish them all the best in their studies of Mandarin moving forward, particularly for those students that are moving on to High School next year. We have no doubt that they will be great learners of Mandarin for the future.

If you would like to find out more about the test please contact the co-ordinator for the test, Serena on [email protected]

CHINESE LANGUAGES SPECTACULAR!
Mandarin Stars is to present at the Sydney Town Hall Chinese Languages Spectacular! Once again, we will be participating in the 2017 Chinese Languages Spectacular at Sydney Town Hall on the 23rd October! Good luck to all 8 students performing! We hope you have a truly memorable day!

On a final note, as we approach the end of the year, I would like to say on behalf of all our franchisees and lao shi a very big XIE XIE to all of our wonderful parents. Without your support we could not offer our program. As parents ourselves- we can appreciate the extra time and effort it also takes to drive, park and logistically get your children to our Mandarin classes and we thank you for that.

Please do not hesitate to contact our Founder and Director- Dawna Leung if you have any questions or feedback about our program.

Best regards to you and your families.

Xie xie!
