Ni Hao! Welcome to Mandarin Stars!

If you are looking for a fun and captivating way to encourage your child to learn Mandarin, Mandarin Stars has the perfect solution.

Children have an amazing aptitude for learning a
2nd language at a young age, and this becomes even easier when they are having fun. Mandarin Stars provides immensely enjoyable mandarin classes for children aged 1 to 5 in a structured playgroup with music, movement, singing, dramatic play, art and craft, story telling, games and more in a truly multi-cultural environment!

Our Mandarin Stars develop cognitive, gross and fine motor skills whilst being immersed in the Mandarin language. It’s a playgroup with a difference and designed for families of all nationalities.

Our
innovative program has been created by experienced educators and bilingual teaching staff. We capture the attention, interest and enthusiasm of your child whilst laying the foundations for fluency in Mandarin as they grow and develop.

Who should attend our Mandarin classes?

Our Mandarin classes for children have been enjoyed by children across Sydney since our inception in July 2008- click
here to read some of the testimonials from our parent community! Our program is professionally researched and delivers proven results. We are recommended and trusted by both parents and educators across Australia. More importantly-  our program is simply loved by children!

The Mandarin Stars Chinese program has been researched and developed for children who are both native and non-native Chinese speakers. Currently, the majority of children who attend our classes are non-native speakers. Our Mandarin Stars community is diverse and we welcome children from all cultural backgrounds.

Mandarin Stars is the creation of Dawna Leung, the mother of two Australian Chinese boys:

"My own research showed me that the success of my children's ability to learn Mandarin would depend on their desire to learn, so the Mandarin Stars program we offer is of pure enjoyment to the children. Our approach is not academic or intensive. Instead, we offer activities that build vocabulary and conversational skills in Mandarin in a fun, interactive, learning environment. Our program has been developed so that your child will enjoy learning and playing in Mandarin and as a result, be inspired to learn Mandarin in the future."

Whether your child is from a monolingual English speaking family, a bilingual English/ Chinese household or Mandarin speaking family, our innovative Mandarin Stars Program will engage and delight your child. Find out more about
our programs here.

Mandarin Stars welcome children from all ethnic, cultural and language backgrounds.
