“Learning Mandarin has been the best decision over the years, and has increased my language ability and cultural understanding greatly. Beginning at the age of 6 years old, this journey began early and has developed over the years, right up to 16 years old. Learning Mandarin from a young age has so many benefits, as the foundations and basics are formed at a young age greatly help the development over the future, and building upon these early foundations make the learning of the language easier to understand when learning new vocabulary, phrases, culture and pronunciation. Mandarin is an exciting language to learn, and opens up to so many opportunities. Over my experience and opportunities through Mandarin Stars, I have been able to attend and perform at Chinese Spectacular concerts, attend culture classes (learning and experiencing Chinese foods, festival and sport traditions), and even becoming equip to travel to China and tour Beijing and Shanghai. Mandarin Stars classes each week have taught me so much over the years, and is especially beneficial to additional Chinese classes at school. Mandarin is such an exciting, learnable and fascinating language of the future, and I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn it.”
